For more than
40 years the Certified Association Executive (CAE)
designation has been the symbol of excellence in every facet of association
management. Offered through the
American
Society of Association Executives (ASAE), attainment of the CAE credential
is recognized as the highest level of excellence and achievement within the
field of association management.

Who can apply
Anyone who is employed as a full-time staff member of a trade or
professional association and has at least three years of experience as a chief
staff officer (or five years total of association management experience) is
eligible. Applicants also must have completed at least 75 hours of
broad-based association management-related continuing education/professional
development within the past five years. Candidates for certification must pledge in writing to adhere to
the Code of Standards of Conduct and have no felony convictions.
How to apply

How to prepare
The Cincinnati Society of Association Executives periodically conducts a
study class for CAE candidates. Classes meet on a regular schedule
determined by participants to work through the CAE Study Guide and review
required publications and other pertinent professional literature. Contact
