Prospective Members

I you are the chief executive or a staff member of a not-for-profit association in the Greater Cincinnati area, the Cincinnati Society of Association Executives (CSAE) is your primary link to other association management professionals in the Tri-State. The members of CSAE represent a broad cross-section of local, regional and national organizations and have responsibility for the full spectrum of association management activities.

CSAE luncheon meetings are traditionally held on the 4th Tuesday of each month and include presentations, discussions and roundtables on a variety of topics. Recent programs have addressed:

Technology's Role in Association Management
Legal Issues for Associations
Disaster Preparedness
Marketing Techniques for Associations
and many more

Although monthly programs are designed to keep members up-to-date on critical issues, trends and technologies, most members agree that the regular opportunities to network with their peers is a primary benefit of membership in CSAE. Every meeting includes plenty of time for informal discussion. CSAE also publishes an annual membership directory and maintains an "expert" list to help members identify other members willing to share their knowledge and experience.

CSAE is an allied society of the American Society of Association Executives and a strong supporter of ASAE's Certified Association Executive (CAE) program. CSAE sponsors regular CAE review courses at no cost to members. During the courses CSAE members who have achieved their CAE assist candidates to complete their applications for certification and prepare for the written examination.

The list of member benefits and services continues to grow. In addition to the monthly meetings, networking opportunities, membership directory, "expert" list and CAE review courses, CSAE offers:

Lending Library -- The library includes publications on a variety of association management and personal development topics. New books published by the American Society of Association Executives are regularly added to the collection.

Job Opportunities -- The CSAE Career Center is a member of the CareerHQ.org Network. If you are looking for a new position or have one to fill, the network will give you instant access to hundreds of association management job opportunities across the country or allow you to search the resumes of association professionals who are seeking new career challenges.

The News Letter -- An easy to read, monthly publication distributed by email. Each issue includes information on upcoming programs and articles on association management skills and personal development topics.

Awards Programs -- CSAE presents annual Statesman, Community Service and Fellow awards that recognize individuals for their outstanding contributions to the community and/or the association management profession.

CSAE Website -- The association's website is an easy way for members to keep track of CSAE activities and take advantage of the online services offered in the "members only" area of the site.
